Annual Milad-un-Nabi

The annual Milad-un-Nabi, also known as the Milad Procession, is a celebration to mark the birth of the Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him). The purpose of such a large scale programme is to carry the universal message of peace and harmony between people of all races and creeds.

To this end the Milad Procession encompasses people from various local communities and forms a significant part of Mohiuddin Trust’s endeavour to build stronger community cohesion and understanding.

The procession usually starts from Victoria Rd at midday and culminates at the Aston Park. The event is staged from elaborate marquees setup at the park. Amongst visitors are senior religious leaders, leaders from the political spectrum and other well known personalities.
